Traditional Sports Day in St Jarlath's

St Jarlath’s PS Blackwatertown held their annual Traditional Sports Day this week on the school’s grounds in glorious sunshine. Pupils from P1 to P7 were given the opportunity use the skills they have learned in PE this year to compete against one another in a variety of events. A range of events took place including; sprint race, long distance race, sack race, pyjamas race, Shot Put throw, bat and ball and the penalty kick. The winning pupils will be rewarded with individual medals as well as points for their house team at presentation day, later in the term.
