Reminder to parents to download the Safer Schools App:
The Safer Schools app has been offered to the Department of Education by the iNEQE Safeguarding Group’.
Parents and carers will be able access advice on information on social media platforms popular with their children and their friends.
If you allow your children in Primary School to access social media platforms you need to be aware of the potential dangers.
In school we are aware that some of our children are in social media groups. None of these groups are designed for children under the age of 11 so parental supervision is vital, e.g the legal age for Whatsapp is 16.
