Peace Forest Ireland Project 2017

In conjunction with Blackwatertown Community Development Association, planting of Peace trees took place today at our local park.

In attendance was Jonathan Ellis (Armagh city, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council), Councillor Sam Nicholson UUP and Councillor Mealla Campbell S.D.L.P. along with St. Jarlath's P.S. Eco- committee and their teacher Ms Mary Smyth. The Trees were sponsored by Coilite and the Woodland Trust N.I. Their aim is to plant 4000 peace trees in remembrance of all those who lost their lives in the Northern Ireland conflict.
