P6 study the weather!

P6 are currently undertaking a weather study as part of their World Around Us topic of Climate. The pupils made their own rain gauges from old milk cartons, fashioning a funnel to the top of each gauge. Pupils discussed the various areas that they could place each of the nine rain gauges so that they could investigate the effects on the rainfall gathered in more sheltered areas versus more exposed areas. The pupils have measured the rainfall each day using various measuring cylinders.
