P5 Visit Tescos

Today, Wednesday 18th October, the P5 boys and girls visited Tescos in Dungannon to learn about healthy eating. They examined and tasted a variety of fruits and vegetables, eg. limes and pomegranates. They investigated the amount of sugar in cereals and were shocked to learn how many sugar lumps were in chocolate and tomato ketchup as well as in some drinks. They were also treated to healthy snacks in the canteen followed by a tour of "behind the scenes" in Tescos. A fun time was had by all!
