Ditch the Dark Day!

A sea of bright colours filled St Jarlath’s PS today as the children (and lots of parents!) arrived to school on foot, by bicycle or on their scooters for ‘Ditch the Dark Day’! We welcomed Dave Wiggins from Sustrans who presented a very informative assembly on the benefits of active travel and the importance of wearing bright colours when travelling on the roads to ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’. Dave also facilitated workshops in P5 and P6 where the children worked as a group and in pairs. Thanks to Dave for coming today and well done to all the boys and girls for making such a great effort! Hopefully we will continue to try our best to travel actively to school whenever we can.
