Discovering me…

6th Oct 2022

As part of the World Around Us topic ‘Discovering Me’, Primary 2 completed an experiment which looked at the number of drops of water that a 2p piece could hold before the water overflowed.  Whilst the boys and girls were shocked that the small coin could hold around 60 drops of water, they understood that there are so many dripping taps in the world and that we are wasting so much unnecessary water.  The boys and girls discussed all of the small changes they could make to help the environment by wasting less water, simple things like not leaving the tap on when brushing our teeth, we even discussed how we could give pets our left over water from our water bottles instead of throwing it down the sink.  We had some super ideas.  Well done P2.
